Editing

-Copy Editing and Manuscript Editing is the process of revising written material (copy) to improve readability and fitness, as well as, ensuring that a text is free of grammatical and factual errors. In the context of print publication, copy editing is done before typesetting and again before proofreading.

-Developmental Editing: A developmental editor is usually the first editor to look over a manuscript. Developmental editors are concerned with the manuscript as a whole, the big picture. They make sure that the overall point that the writer is trying to convey is clear and effectively presented.

-Structural Editing is the next level of editing. Structural editors review the manuscript`s organization, making sure that the ideas are presented in a clear and logical way.

-Content Editing (also called: substantive editing or full editing). It goes beyond making sure that your content is grammatically correct and that all of the words in a given piece are spelled correctly.
